I am a native Swiss person and until 1987 I lived with my Parents in Lenzerheide. 1987 I came to Zurich, where I began to study electrical engineering at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). After two years I changed to the University of Zurich to study computer science. On February 7, 1996 I graduated as "lic.oec.publ". Until 2006 I lived in the city of Zurich, where I met a lot of my friends. Together we enjoyed food, music, films, travelling and since 2002 all kind of Asian cultural events. Through my interests in Asian culture I also met my wife Feroza. We got married in Bangladesh in 2005. In 2006 we moved to Wallisellen, which became our new home town.
My interests in computers go back to 1981, when one of my friends bought a ZX 81. After that I bought a Commodore C 64 and later in 1986 I had one of the early Amiga 1000. Since then I was always interested in computer graphics and Multimedia. I also began programming in C and C++. During my studies of computer science I further specialized in Multimedia. Thanks to Professor Dr. P. Stucki I had the opportunity to create a CD-Rom application on the Amiga CD32 platform.
1991 I was involved in the foundation of the company Relog AG, for which I also worked part time until 2001. In 1995 I joined the Internet Movie Database team and in 2001 I became a full time IMDb employee, where I was responsible for various data sections as well as for some tool programming. Since 2007 I am working as senior software engineer and offer consulting and implementation for web based applications and home cinema systems.
